About Sarkin/Levine Smoke Ring Art

Sarkin/Levine Smoke Ring Art was just a spark of inspiration by Brian Sarkin in the early 2000’s. Sarkin a veteran in the music industry since the 90’s, touring the world with such acts as The Black Crowes, Kings of Leon, Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead) and Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival. His weathered and weary journey exhale stories untold, dancing dreams and expansive abstracts, encapsulating the spirit of Smoke Ring Art.

Stuart Levine is a world renowned Rock Photographer with his photos filling the pages of publications such as Rolling Stone and Relix, shooting the likes of Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Harper, Grateful Dead…

Sarkin and Levine’s paths crossing was inevitable. After a plethora of aftershow good times backstage and tour bus shenanigans, fast friends were born. Sarkin shared his idea of Smoke Ring Art to Levine. Immediately Stuart saw Brian’s vision and brought his own inspiration and photographic knowledge to the project. Their combined love for music and the arts solidified the unparalleled collaboration.

These abstract rings of smoke tell a deeper story. Revealing themselves as notes of vibrations, through their essence, as visions of the past, present and future.
